The Maria porcelain series, named after the wife of founder Philipp Rosenthal, is a symbol of timeless beauty and quality.

Discover the classic beauty of the timeless porcelain dinnerware

The Maria Rosenthal collection is characterized by its classically inspired form and the finely flowing pomegranate relief, which artfully draws on elements of the Biedermeier era. Inspired by a silver tea service from 1815, Maria reflects the values and aesthetic taste of a bygone era, brought into the modern age by its versatile decorative worlds.

Already in the 1920s and 1930s, Maria was a widely expanded dinnerware set with around 170 individual pieces. Even today, the porcelain dinnerware remains Rosenthal’s most extensive tableware collection. Thus the Maria collection is not only an ideal porcelain gift for weddings and other festive occasions but also a homage to traditional porcelain art and meticulous attention to detail.
Philipp Rosenthal and Maria – a love story, immortalized in porcelain

In a world where love stories warm the heart, there are some that border on miracles. One of them is the romantic love story of Philipp Rosenthal and his wife Maria. Inspired by deep love and admiration, the Geheimrat Philipp Rosenthal immortalized his love for Maria in porcelain by naming a porcelain service after his beloved – without realizing that this ensemble would become a best-seller that has delighted millions across generations.
