"Rinascita - Three-Dimensional Opera" - entirely handmade with recovered materials. The individual triangular wooden elements, cut from boards destined for scrap, were cut and worked one by one by the artist. Small, barely perceptible marks and imperfections are not defects but preserved traces of a previous life. The frame is also made from recovered material and artisanally adapted to best highlight the artwork’s details. What was meant for waste thus finds a new identity through form, rhythm, and movement. The black enhances the reliefs and the play of shadows, lending the work presence and elegance.
"Rinascita" can dialogue with both contemporary environments and classical furnishings, becoming an art element with strong personality.
Whenever the artist completes a work, "Nera" (Black) he wants to remember and pay tribute to the great artist Kazimir Malevich 1879-1935, who first presented a completely black artwork.

PAOLO CONTIN has developed his personal, continually evolving artistic path for over twenty-five years. Trained in design and active since 1980 in the fashion world, he brings to painting a particular sensitivity to color, form, and compositional balance.

Since 1999 he has exhibited his works, and in 2002 he held his first solo exhibition in Padua. This has been followed by numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, with appearances in Copenhagen, Munich, Stuttgart, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Sanat Fuarı, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.

Paolo Contin’s artistic journey is also documented by inclusion in the Mondadori Art Catalog with related appraisals. Over the years his works have also been published in Arte Mondadori magazine and in numerous catalogs and volumes produced for solo exhibitions and major Art Fairs, some of which were published with support from the Italian Culture Institute.

He was also among the founding members of "Tostart", an artistic association born from the meeting of ten Veneto artists and active until the Pandemic period.

An eclectic and independent artist, Contin has built a recognizable language over the years, far from belonging to a single school or trend. His research traverses geometric abstraction, material and gestural painting, alternating rigor and expressive freedom. Lines, fields, geometric shapes, and intense color relationships become elements of a vocabulary through which he investigates balance, movement, and emotion.

Experimentation also extends to sculpture and wood, with works built through the layering of geometric elements, confirming a search that goes beyond painting alone.
His work continues to evolve today without predefined formulas: every piece arises from the desire to preserve freedom, identity, and expressive authenticity.
