Paula Lopes presents Máscaras da Alma II, an original mixed‑media diptych from 2026, two unique 40 × 50 cm abstract works with sculptural relief masks and gilded metallic accents, signed and ready to hang, made in Portugal.
Description from the seller
“Masks of the Soul II” is a contemporary diptych composed of two unique mixed-media works, where abstract painting and sculpture unite to create a visually striking experience.
The three-dimensional masks represent the different identities we assume throughout life: strength and vulnerability, reason and emotion, light and shadow. Although distinct, the two pieces dialogue with each other through geometric shapes, textures, contrasts, and golden metallic accents, creating a balanced and sophisticated composition.
The minimalist backgrounds, marked by architectural lines and free gestures, offer depth and movement, while the masks appear to emerge from the canvas, inviting the viewer to reflect on what we show the world and what remains invisible.
Created to be exhibited side by side, these works transform any space into an elegant, contemporary, and full-of-personality environment.
