Description
Old and authentic LUXOR acetylene bicycle lamp, dating likely from the early 20th century.
The LUXOR brand is directly impressed in relief on the top part of the lamp and remains perfectly identifiable.
Very handsome model featuring a wide front headlamp with convex glass, surrounded by a multi-ribbed metal bezel. At the rear is the cylindrical reservoir intended for the carbide lighting system.
The lamp retains its mechanism and its various metal components, as well as its mounting system originally used to attach it to a bicycle.
It shows a beautiful antique patina, with oxidation traces, marks and natural wear reflecting its age and use. The whole has deliberately preserved its authentic look.
A particularly decorative and interesting piece for collectors of vintage bicycles, automotive and cycling accessories, industrial objects and early 20th-century lighting.
