BERNHARD H. MAYER AUTOMATIC LIMITED EDITION WATCH (REF. BH05/CWR):
We present at auction this bold and sporty Bernhard H. Mayer watch. It is an exclusive Limited Edition (number 1911 of a total of 4,999 pieces produced worldwide), notable for its robustness, its maritime-inspired aesthetics, and its Swiss Made quality seal.
"Blue Wave" dial: The center of attention is its hypnotic blue dial, decorated with an intricate guilloché pattern in a wave form. It is flanked by large applied indices and luminescent hands that guarantee optimal legibility. The robust unidirectional stainless steel bezel features blue-engraved and enameled numerals, completing a visually very attractive and sporty look.
Mechanics and Finishes: Inside lies a reliable Swiss-made automatic mechanical movement, whose decorated rotor can be admired through the sapphire crystal exhibition case back. The heavy stainless steel case guarantees a 10 ATM water resistance.
Condition (Expert Review)
Bidders are asked to closely review the photo gallery to assess the condition of the piece. This is a used watch:
Case and Bezel: The brushed stainless steel shows micro-scratches, fine scratches, and typical signs of use, especially visible on the generous front bezel, but without deep dents.
Crystal and Dial: In excellent condition.
Back: Screw-down case back with exhibition sapphire crystal in very good condition. All engravings ("LIMITED EDITION 1911/4999") are perfectly clear.
Strap and Buckle: It is fitted with its original blue calfskin strap with a crocodile pattern and light blue stitching. The leather shows evident signs of wear, such as creases near the clasp and wear/darkening of the inner lining. Original stainless steel buckle.
Mechanical: The automatic movement functions correctly. (Note: The proven 10 ATM water resistance is not guaranteed for second-hand watches without a recent service history).
