Set comprising the 5 volumes, all numbered from 1 to 5 and preserving their old brown leather bindings with gilded decorations and borders.

The works are richly illustrated with medical and anatomical engravings, as shown by the photographs. The set shows a beautiful patina corresponding to its age and retains an authentic character of a 19th-century medical book.

Interesting feature: an old handwritten note is preserved in Volume 1. It comes from the family collection of doctors and pharmacists: the note is therefore sold with the book as an old manuscript document.

Condition:
Old set in its original state, with visible binding wear: patinated leather, rubbing, headcaps and the upper parts of the spine damaged, as well as some material loss. Signs of use and aging are also present on the pages.

The volumes remain readable and the texts and illustrations are clearly present after inspection.

Particularly interesting set for a collector of old books, the history of medicine or pharmacy, or for an enthusiast of 19th-century medical libraries.
