PSYCHE

In Greek mythology, Psyche is a young woman whose beauty awakens Eros' love and leads her through a series of trials, until she is transformed into a goddess.
The work depicts her lying in the half-light, in a moment of apparent abandonment.
The nude body, illuminated by light, contrasts with the depth of the background, while the barely suggested wings hint at a nature suspended between earth and divine.
The figure seems to guard a secret thought, an intimacy in which the desire to ascend coexists with the need to let go.
Her pose evokes vulnerability, sensuality and a form of inner quiet, as if the body were finally free from the trials that led it to transformation.
Psyche thus becomes an image of silent beauty, introspection and rebirth.
A mythological nude in which the delicacy of the figure meets the darkness of matter, creating an atmosphere suspended between dream and reality.

Valerio, artist born in 1995.
He earned his diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where he had the opportunity to show his work in several group exhibitions.
Among the most notable is the one at the Andersen Museum.
In this series of works he deepens his conceptual research using the body and its dynamism as an emotional instrument.
