The nature of the technique I use makes each piece in the series a unique and unrepeatable work. The dimensions and texture of the final piece may differ slightly from the photos and the stated measurements.

The work consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters of the way by a hollowed-out portion. I consider this work a reclaiming of the self over the perils of existence, but also an innate longing upward. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter becoming spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of the form toward the summit is characterized as a set of parts that, unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
