Sagrasse (1966) - Banana Satisfaction

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisan craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, painting, and chrome finishing.
The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time transform into an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always guarded. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence becomes thus the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.
