Antique Soup Tureen / Legumier with Removable Inner Basin – Silver-Plated Brass – 20th Century
Description
Refined and imposing centerpiece soup tureen / legumier for the table with a worked lid and removable inner basin for temperature preservation.
The main body features a beautiful torchon-fluting and gadrooning, and is supported by four feet finely worked in a foliate motif. The lid, richly worked to match, is topped by an elegant knob in the shape of an artichoke / flower. The presence of the removable inner basin (doublure) allowed serving dishes without damaging the silver and keeping the heat.

Features: Three-piece construction (main body with handles, removable inner basin, fluted lid)
Conditions
Object in overall good vintage condition with evident and fascinating signs of age.
