Original French edition. Small 8vo, three parts with separate pagination, united in one volume: 127, 130 and 157 pp., with preliminaries, tables and abridgments. Initials and wood fleurons. Plain cover later, marbled paper.
Rare mystical treatise in which Antoinette Bourignon (1616-1680) presents the Antichrist as the spirit of corruption already at work in the Churches, the doctrines and human behaviors.

Complete copy of the text of the three parts. The title placed at the head, however, belongs to the second part: the note “Second part” was formerly masked by a strip of paper. Specific titles of the first and third parts are absent. Brown damp stains sometimes considerable, paper fragile with marginal losses at times, foxing, stains and small tears.
