Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is deeply rooted in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality between the Marche hills, specializing at the highest levels in resin work, painting, and chrome finishing.
The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to release the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to bring to life modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a language of contemporary art recognized, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these, the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center of Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser stand out. From artisan to signature of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse proves how a lifetime’s experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from its functional constraint, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, bright, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the lineage of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical light, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship.
Do not expose to heat sources; clean without using detergents, but only with a soft cloth.
