Description from the seller
My name is Maryse Coin, born in 1957, I am a self-taught French artist and I live in Niort (79).
Passionate about color and texture, I explore different styles ranging from abstract expressionism and action painting to highly realistic academic painting. I use various media: acrylic, oil, collage.
My works are in private collections, notably in Europe, the United States and Morocco.
I have participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs: Deauville, Paris, Perpignan. Marrakech, Florence, Bellano.
This figurative painting, executed on canvas, features a Sialia sialis (an Eastern Bluebird) perched on a branch in a heavy rain.
The bird, depicted in profile and facing to the right, immediately draws attention with the delicacy of its details and the gentle expression of its gaze. Its plumage harmoniously blends warm and cool tones: a chestnut-gold and orange breast, a subtly shaded gray-blue head, and wings displaying vibrant blue reflections.
The bird rests on a rough branch that curves away from the trunk of a tree to the left. A tender green foliage crowns the scene, bringing a touch of freshness. A fine rain crosses the hazy background, while realistic droplets run along the branch and fall downward, enhancing the realism and the sense of melancholic serenity.
A soft glow lights the back and chest of the bird, nicely contrasting with the misty, greenish background.
The artwork is signed bottom left: M. Coin, as well as on the reverse.
Shipping: The painting will be well protected and shipped by Colissimo. A certificate of authenticity will be included with the package.
Colors may differ slightly due to how each camera captures the image during photography.
