A stunning 9.5 g slice of the rare NWA 15224, an officially classified L3 ordinary chondrite is now up for grabs. The polished surface displays a dense population of sharply defined, predominantly flattened chondrules set within a fine-grained matrix.

The chondrules have an apparent mean diameter of approximately 0.6 mm and retain distinct textural and compositional characteristics typical of an unequilibrated type-3 ordinary chondrite. The matrix contains partly altered sulfides and Fe-Ni metal.
