Nicole Lubbers - My Field XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and distinctive approach to art and works with various styles, techniques and forms of imagery. In her work, color, movement, expression and emotion play an important role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was named Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and finished second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also listed among the world’s 100 best female artists and recognized as Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been seen and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A particular highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole, together with artist Michael Lam, presents the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together here and form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity and transformation.

Nicole Lubbers’ work is more than a visual image. Her compositions invite reflection on perseverance, growth and overcoming challenges. The powerful colors and dynamic visual language make her work a striking statement within both modern and classical interiors.

Delivery and presentation

The artwork is delivered unframed and without a stretcher frame. You receive the canvas carefully rolled, so you can determine how you want to present the artwork.

You can have the canvas framed or stretched by a professional framer onto a stretcher frame.

Important when stretching: please note that for stretching the canvas at least 5 cm of extra canvas on each side is required. This margin is necessary to fold and secure the canvas properly to the stretcher. Therefore, when determining the final size, allow for at least a 5 cm extra margin on the top, bottom, left and right sides.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker.
