Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and independent approach to art and works with various styles, techniques, and forms of imagery. In her work, color, movement, expression, and emotion play a significant role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation, and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was named Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and placed second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been shown and is planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A particularly notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. Together with artist Michael Lam, Nicole also presents the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together in this project and form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity, and transformation.

Delivery and presentation

The artwork is delivered without a frame and without a stretcher. You will receive the canvas carefully rolled, so you can decide how you want to present the artwork.

You can have the canvas framed or mounted on a stretcher by a professional framer.

Important when stretching: please note that for stretching the canvas you will need at least 5 cm of extra canvas on each side. This margin is necessary to fold and secure the fabric neatly around the stretcher. Therefore, when determining the final size, allow for at least a 5 cm extra margin on the top, bottom, left, and right.

Besides her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a puppeteer.
