Sculpture of a duckling in 800 silver by Fratelli Lisi e Figli of Florence (615 FI), dating to 1970–1980, with a height of 3.5 cm, a base of 6 × 4 cm, and a weight of 38 g, in good vintage condition with signs of age, in the Realismo style.
Description from the seller
Elegant collectible sculpture depicting a small duckling (or little bird), made in silver with 800 fineness.
The piece stands out for its exceptional Italian artisanal workmanship, characterized by the meticulous filigree-like processing of the body in continuous silver wire (the “hair/feather” technique), which gives extraordinary realism and softness to the plumage.
The head and beak are retouched by chasing with a beautiful patina of the period.
The object regularly bears the legal assay marks on the foot: the 800 fineness and the factory mark 615 FI, attributing the authorship of the work to the prestigious silversmith company Fratelli Lisi & Figli of Florence (active with this mark since 1976).
Details and Measurements:
Material: Silver 800
Maker/Silversmith: F.lli Lisi e Figli (Florence) - Master mark 615 FI
Dimensions: Height 3.5 cm | Base footprint 6 x 4 cm
Total weight: 38 grams
Style: Realist / Florentine high-school craftsmanship (inspired by the famous Buccellati Furry line)
