Nicole Lubbers - Walk into me XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and quirky approach to art and works with various styles, techniques and media. In her work, color, movement, expression and emotion play a significant role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations. Her international career has shown strong development in recent years. Lubbers was named Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro and secured second place at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as a Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been seen and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole presents, together with artist Michael Lam, the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together in this, forming a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity and transformation.

Delivery and presentation

The artwork is delivered unframed and without a back-stretcher. You will receive the canvas carefully rolled, so you can determine how you want to present the artwork.

You can have the canvas framed or stretched onto a professional stretcher frame by a framer.

Important when stretching: please note that for stretching the canvas you need at least 5 cm extra canvas on each side. This margin is necessary to fold and secure the canvas properly onto the stretcher frame. Therefore, when determining the final size, allow for a minimum 5 cm extra margin on the top, bottom, left and right.
