Large iron tsuba carved in bas-relief with beautiful samurai battle scenes depicting the Genpei War between the Taira and the Minamoto clan. The Mon of the Hatakeyama, loyal to the Taira clan, is visible.

Size: (top) 8,9 cm (wide) 8,4 cm (thickness) 0,7 cm

Age: Late Edo (about 1800)

The tsuba comes with its kiribako (Traditional Japanese paulownia wood box)
