Rembrandt - Avros Amsterdam - De Nachtwacht - 1950s

A beautiful and early image from the 1950s of the world-famous painting by Rembrandt van Rijn featuring the image “The Night Watch.” The scene depicts an Amsterdam civic guard (schutterij) about to march out. The depiction is rendered on an educational placard and was purchased by schools for decoration and, in this way, to impart knowledge about medieval Dutch painting.
