Description from the seller
This artwork features an elegant relief of two moths, each placed in a dark frame that highlights their details. The upper part shows a moth sculpted in a light shade, while the lower part presents the same figure in a dark color, creating an intriguing visual contrast. Both moths are depicted with meticulous care in the details of the wings and body, suggesting a delicate and almost ethereal beauty that contrasts with the robustness of the frame.
The choice to use opposite colors not only emphasizes the symmetry of the moths but also invites reflection on the dualities of nature: light and darkness, vulnerability and strength. The work captures the essence of these nocturnal insects, symbols of transformation and metamorphosis, evoking a sense of wonder and curiosity. The artist's signature, present on the lower part, adds a personal touch, making this relief not only a decorative object but also an invitation to contemplate the subtle beauty that surrounds daily life.
On the back there is a hole for wall mounting. The work will be shipped in careful packaging and with the associated certificate of authenticity.
The Sicilian artist Federico Alibrio, born in 1995, is always seeking inspiration to grow through new experiences.
A graduate in Sculpture in 2021 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, he works in sculpture and painting. He has participated and continues to participate in shows and symposia of high cultural profile, demonstrating commitment and seriousness in approaching sculptural practice.
"Open-minded people find inspiration anywhere" is one of his philosophical approaches.
