I create paintings using acrylic colors and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper is transformed into art instead of ending up in the trash.

In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the most recent works created.

On these scraps of paper, words and phrases can be read scattered here and there. Often it happens this way when we get close to another person: sometimes we perceive their secret messages, sometimes not.

"Not your doll" - "I am not your doll" is a series where I intend to represent women's faces with features reminiscent of the most classic dolls, and the message is: "even if I seem like a real doll, I am not a doll, your doll and you can do with me whatever you want" with everything that lies behind, up to, unfortunately, violence.

The surface features small reliefs and I like to caress it, feel it...
I also use acrylic resin on the surface, which gives a glossy effect and protects the colors from sunlight and dust.

This piece will be shipped without a frame and without a stretcher as the work will be shipped rolled. The canvas is larger than the painted dimensions because the larger surface is useful and necessary to be able to stretch the canvas on a frame.
It is recommended to have the work stretched and mounted by a trusted professional who can also advise on a possible appropriate frame.

Born in 1974 I am self-t taught.

After an initial period dedicated to sculpture there was a prolonged stop of almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I started again with the "two dimensions" for time and space reasons, leaving sculpture behind and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.

I love to paint abstract landscapes but recently I am also pushing to paint faces of people both imaginary and real.

For me painting is "freezing time" at that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that - over time - grow on the surface.
Time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my works.

Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs clearly perceptible to touch and to the naked eye.

Recently, after several years during which my works were made from scraps of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids with mathematical rigor that, when viewed up close, seem to form a colorful abstract painting but the further you move away, the more a portrait figure emerges from the many painted wooden discs.

Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to denounce the fact that they are not their partner's dolls and cannot be mistreated or worse, victims of violence.
