BIOGRAPHY
Giuseppe Torre was born in 1956 in San Giorgio a Cremano (Naples). After earning the diploma as Industrial Senior Technician, he left his studies to dedicate himself to work as a freelance photographer, and at the same time he began to cultivate what has always been his passions: painting and sculpture. Self-taught painter and sculptor, over the years he has experimented with many techniques and trends, eventually arriving at hyperrealism and sacred art. For years he has participated in regional and national group exhibitions, with notable public and critical success, and his solo shows have met no less favorable reception. His works are present at the E. Greco Museum in Sabaudia (LT), at the Regina dei Gigli convent complex in San Giorgio a Cremano (NA), at the pinacoteca of the Basilica of S. Alfonso in Pagani (SA), at the Bishop’s House in Kaahma Tanzania, and in numerous private collections.
