“Vértice”
This work explores introspection from fullness and calm. By framing the face, attention shifts to the figure's inner voice, removing distractions to connect with a strong, elegant, and self-possessed female presence. Built through the harmony of complementary colors, the piece uses the contrast between the reddish/burgundy (lips, cheeks, and garment) and the olive/lime greens of the background. This chromatic tension does not create conflict, but a luminous vitality. The texture in the background and the smoothness of the skin add dynamism and tactile depth. The title “Vértice” is the exact point where the lines cross. Here, the figure is the center where the architecture of the clothing, the geometry of the accessories, the power of color, and the serenity of the mind converge. It is a celebration of contemporary sophistication, a partial portrait that reveals a complete identity.

Vida AMReyes. (Granma, Cuba 1991) discovered from a very young age that drawing was not just a pastime, but a way to translate the world. In 2010, she graduated with honors from the prestigious Carlos Enrique Gómez Academy of Fine Arts. There she consolidated an exceptional technical prowess in oil painting, acrylic, and drawing from life, foundations that would later shape her conceptual signature.

Her early years of career unfolded amid Cuban cultural fervor, actively participating in young art salons and group exhibitions. Her work began to stand out immediately: in salons and exhibitions she earned numerous awards and mentions.

AMReyes's work is distinguished by a visceral, imposing realism that captures the eye instantly. However, her approach does not stop at mere photographic mimesis. On a rigorously worked anatomy or faces laden with deep psychographic expressiveness, the artist overlays and integrates icons, allegories, and conceptual elements: wings that seem invisible to the wearer, suspended threads, blocks of dense color, or garments laden with symbolism. For her, the human body and everyday figures are the perfect canvas to reflect on identity.

This fusion between technical mastery and symbolic narrative opened the door to her international projection. Over the past decade, her pieces have been acquired by private collectors and galleries in:
