Traditional Egyptian darbuka (also known as doumbek or tabla). A hand percussion instrument from the early seventies. The instrument is made of wood and inlaid with mother-of-pearl, in a beautiful geometric pattern. The top is strung with goatskin. 30.5 cm high, diameter 19 cm.

The darbuka is in good condition. The goatskin (and thus the sound) is completely intact, and the mosaic is still in good shape as well. Please also see the photos.

This lot will be carefully packaged and shipped insured with tracking.

Traditionele Egyptische Darbuka (ook wel bekend als Doumbek of Tabla). Handpercussie-instrument uit begin jaren zeventig. Het instrument is van hout en ingelegd met onder meer parelmoer, in een prachtig geometrisch patroon. Aan de bovenzijde bespannen met geitenhuid. 30,5 cm hoog, doorsnede 19 cm.

De Darbuka bevindt zich in goede staat. Het geitenvel (en dus de klank) is volledig in tact en ook het mozaïek is nog gaaf. Zie ook de foto's svp.
