Classified stems from the idea of something that exists, but whose meaning is not accessible to everyone. The term is used for confidential information, documents and content destined only for those who have authorization to know them, but it can also become a metaphor for that part of ourselves that we choose not to make fully legible to others.
In the painting the figure is present, elegant and perfectly visible, and yet her gaze turned elsewhere creates a distance. The black dress, the composed posture and the almost suspended environment reinforce the sense that there is something we can observe but not truly know.
