Beautiful and particularly atmospheric impressionist oil painting of a blooming orchard in spring.
At the center is a characterful fruit tree in full bloom, surrounded by several blossoming trees. The artist has built up the spring blossoms from rich, thick brushstrokes in white, cream and pale green, giving the painting a lively relief and a beautiful play of light.

Notable are the twisting trunks and branches, painted in warm red, pink, brown and violet tones. These contrast nicely with the softly blue-green sky and the multi-colored ground. Especially up close, the spontaneous brushwork and the solid impasto are clearly visible.
