Minotaur – Sculptural bust in patinated plaster with bronze-effect

Sculpture depicting the Minotaur, reinterpreted through a strongly sculptural and contemporary language. The figure features a powerful human anatomy united with the bull head, crafted with particular attention to the expressiveness of the gaze, the tension of the face, and the modeling of the musculature.

The work is made of patinated plaster in bronze color, with a deliberately irregular finish that creates chromatic and chiaroscuro variations similar to those of an ancient metal surface. The patina, in tones of brown bronze and brunito, enhances the volumes and gives the sculpture an archaeological character while at the same time contemporary.

The subject recalls the myth of Asterion, the Minotaur of the labyrinth, not only as a monstrous creature, but as a profoundly human figure, suspended between strength, isolation, and vulnerability.
