Beautiful Hohner Vienna Model 2815 2-row diatonic button accordion (diatonic harmonica)
An authentic and characterful example of the famous Hohner Vienna Model 2815 (also known as the 'Pokerwork'), manufactured by the renowned German instrument maker Hohner in Trossingen (Germany) around the 60s to 70s.
About the Manufacturer & Style:
Hohner has worldwide for more than a century been synonymous with German quality craftsmanship in harmonicas and accordions. This 'Wiener Modell' is an absolute icon in the history of folk music. The instrument immediately stands out with its elegant, gold-colored floral 'pokerwork' motif on the housing, paired with a refined stamped metal grille and robust corner protectors. The design exudes the nostalgic atmosphere of Mid-Century European folk music.
What makes this specimen special?
Besides its collector value and decorative character, this instrument is in a very beautiful condition. The classic gold/black motif gives the instrument a wonderful authentic look and patina. It is also marked with gold embossing 'Made in Germany' and features the original vintage shop tag from the well-known specialty shop 'Moeskops Muziek' from Hoorn, which provides a nice piece of local provenance/history (provenance).
