Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has built a solid, emotionally intense trajectory recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently lives and creates in Italy.

His painting combines figure and abstraction with a personal language, where vibrant color, symbolic forms, and deep textures speak of identity, memory, and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic natures, and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe.

In Dos almas, Miguel de Miguel places two female figures face to face, suspended in a space dominated by red, where matter becomes emotion and presence. The bodies, stripped of faces, abandon all reference to portraiture to acquire a universal dimension: they are two presences that recognize each other, two forms of existence that seem to emerge from the same energy.

The intensity of carmines, magentas, and oranges builds an almost ritual atmosphere, while the pictorial matter—torn, overlapped, and vibrant—reveals the inner process of the work. Between the two figures, a space of tension and dialogue is established, an invisible place where the individual and the collective seem to meet.

Dos almas speaks, in short, of the bond: of what separates us and, at the same time, unites us. A painting with a strong emotional charge in which the human figure becomes a symbol of identity, encounter, and shared energy.
