Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) - "Aurora NotArt" - 10/20
When art dissolves into business.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Original Counterfeit, Aurora Authentic Fake, Aurora Get Rich… AMA continues its ironic exploration of the codes of luxury, perceived value, and the slogans that govern our era.
"Aurora NotArt" – Not Art, Only Business condenses the era into three simple, almost cynical words, etched like advertising truth… and yet transformed into a luminous, chromed, hypnotic object, at the edge of a manifesto.
On the base, the message is blunt:
NOT ART.
And right after, without unnecessary poetry, the sentence completes:
ONLY / BUSINESS.
A cold, self-assured declaration.
A punchline that sounds like a modern rule of the game: it is not art… it’s business.
The day: a mirror, brilliant, almost clinical icon.
The night: an aurora borealis of reflections and flashes, immersive, fascinating, almost “too beautiful” to be innocent.
A deliberate contrast: the spectacle on one side, the truth on the other.
Limited edition of 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered and delivered with AMA authenticity certificate.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced cardboard) with a signature on delivery.

Who is Pope?
Pope, co-founder of the AMA collective, develops a unique artistic universe powered by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a meticulous attention to detail and a careful visual inquiry.
Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and amazed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope primarily draws inspiration from the world around him but also from movements of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether it’s a gift, a souvenir, or your personal collection of contemporary art, you will easily find your favorite thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban art through street art and pop art (in limited or non-limited editions), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury and high fashion brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food and fashion industry products (sport, sneakers…),
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously détourne labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman…), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many more.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot for sale is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
