Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has built a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently resides and creates in Italy.

His painting combines figure and abstraction with a personal language, where vibrant color, symbolic forms, and deep textures speak of identity, memory, and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic nature, and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe.

In Aparición, Miguel de Miguel turns the human figure into a presence barely revealed. The body slowly emerges from a green monochromatic field, as if born from the painting itself and remaining suspended between the visible and the invisible.
The absence of a face eliminates individual identity and transforms the figure into a universal experience: an interior, intimate, and silent presence. Transparencies, veils, and soft-edged contours build an image that does not seek to impose itself, but to appear before the gaze.
The work finds its strength precisely in that fragility. Nothing is completely defined; everything seems to be in the process of birth. A painting about presence, mystery, and what can only be perceived when we stop seeking an explanation.
