Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has developed a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently lives and creates in Italy.

His painting combines figuration and abstraction with a language of its own, where vibrant color, symbolic forms and deep textures speak of identity, memory and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic natures and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe.

With more than four decades of creation, Miguel de Miguel offers a body of work that is not only observed: it is experienced from the most intimate. An art that crosses borders, styles and words.

In La conciencia, Miguel de Miguel transforms the figure into an interior territory. Two presences approach until they blur, as if they were manifestations of the same identity faced with itself. Red, intense and visceral, embodies energy, impulse and life; opposite it, deep blue introduces silence, introspection and mystery.

The barely defined faces are essential: they do not seek to represent a concrete person, but to strip the figure of identity to turn it into a symbol. The matter, worked through transparencies, gestures and zones of disappearance, makes the figures seem to emerge from a mental space.
