A Distant Place imagines a city that seems familiar, yet impossible to locate. Towers, arches and fragmented architectural forms emerge through soft layers of ivory, turquoise, coral, ochre and muted violet, creating a landscape suspended somewhere between memory and imagination.

Rather than describing a specific destination, the composition gathers impressions of architecture into a dreamlike whole. Buildings overlap, perspectives shift and geometric forms dissolve into one another, suggesting streets and places remembered only in fragments.

The restrained, luminous palette gives the work an atmospheric quality, while brighter passages of red, orange and turquoise bring warmth and movement to the composition. A Distant Place evokes the quiet nostalgia of somewhere once visited, imagined, or perhaps still waiting to be discovered.
