Impressive neorenaissance maiolica amphora-style vase, hand-painted with a mythological scene, produced in central Italy (Pesaro/Urbino) in the 20th century, 62 cm high, 34 cm wide, 25 cm deep with a base of 18 cm, featuring serpentine handles and mascheroni at the base, in very good condition with slight signs of age and a repaired neck/base.

Impressive large two-tone amphora-shaped vase in complex neorenaissance maiolica, painted entirely by hand.
Central Italy (Pesaro/Urbino) 20th century.
Excellent decorative piece, representative of Italian ceramic art.
The painting, executed with very fine painting, depicts a mythological scene with 3 figures in a round landscape, including the base.
Handles are snake/dragon-spotted with grotesques at the base.
Internal edge of the base is biscuit unglazed.
In very good condition, colors still sharp and bright. Snake handles and grotesques intact. Only very small signs of time. The base at the neck appears to have been repaired, hard to notice, there is a small and normal chip at the base.
