Unique and original work painted by hand by Raphaël Monnet
Raphaël Monnet develops contemporary abstract painting in which color becomes material, rhythm and movement.
He approaches the canvas as an experimental space. The painting is projected, accumulated, and confronted with opposing colors. The impacts cross, some areas densify while others allow the background to breathe.
His process does not rely on a pre-prepared image but on a progressive construction. Each intervention leads to the next until an balance appears between apparent disorder and pictorial organization.
Based in the Léo Varek workshop in France, Raphaël Monnet continues his research around projection and the layering of colors. His works have an immediate presence up close and reveal, when approached, a multitude of details, nuances, and unexpected encounters between pigments.
Each canvas results from a unique process. The trajectory of projections, the distribution of matter, and the interactions between colors can never be exactly reproduced.

Format and presentation
The indicated dimensions correspond to the total size of the canvas. A portion painted at the periphery is intended to be folded over the sides of the frame, without encroaching on the main composition.
Some images show the work in situ to facilitate projection into an interior. They are made with the ArtStage staging software that creates AI mockups. Proportions may vary slightly depending on the setup. Please refer to the dimensions indicated in the description to know the actual size of the work.
The edges are partially painted and allow for a clean finish after mounting.
Shipping
The artwork is shipped rolled in rigid protective packaging, without a frame or stretcher.
Light creases may appear on receipt. This is perfectly normal for a canvas shipped rolled. These marks naturally disappear when the piece is mounted under tension.
For optimal results, it is recommended that the canvas be mounted on a frame by a local framer.
Shipments are made by express carrier — DHL, FedEx or equivalent — with tracking up to delivery.
Some destinations may incur additional shipping charges beyond my control. In such cases, the buyer will be informed before shipment to adjust the charges if necessary. Without approval of these charges, shipping cannot proceed.
