This is a work generically attributed to a European school active between the 19th and 20th centuries, created by a copyist or local artist who reinterpreted the famous fresco kept in the Cenacolo of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan.

Simplified background
The three rear windows and the side tapestries typical of Leonardo's work are hinted at in a more geometric and darker way.

Facial features
The faces of Jesus and the twelve apostles show more marked somatic traits and chiaroscuro, characteristic of devotional easel paintings diffused between the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

Color palette
The colors appear darker and earthier, accentuated by the natural aging of the protective varnish on the canvas.
