Pair of Art Deco period metal bookends, each 13 cm long, 8 cm wide and 13.5 cm high, weighing 900 g, depicting two seated German Shepherds with a brown and golden patina on black veined marble bases, dating to 1950–1960, with no visible markings and minor age-related wear including an old glue repair on the back of one figure, a missing screw under one base and a small chip on a marble base.

Pair of Art Deco period bookends featuring two seated German Shepherds. The animal sculptures are made of metal with a brown and golden patina, mounted on rectangular bases of black marble veined with white and green. Each piece measures 13 cm in length, 8 cm in width, and a total height of 13.5 cm. The individual weight of each bookend is 900 g, making a total weight of 1800 g for the pair. This set bears no visible markings or signature. Regarding its condition, the back of one of the dogs has undergone an old repair by gluing, one fastening screw is missing from the underside of one base, and a small chip is present on one of the marble bases; these details are visible in the photographs.
