MAD Super Specials/Special #2–6 – early 1970s run – #6 Mischief Stickers intact + MAD Follies No 1 - 1963

Title: MAD Super Specials/Special #2–6 – early 1970s run – #6 Mischief Stickers intact + MAD Follies No 1

An increasingly difficult-to-find early run of five of the first original US MAD Super/Specials, which only began one year earlier than #2, which is featured here and the first-ever MAD Follies collection from 1963!

#2, #3, #4, #5 and #6.

These early MAD Super Specials capture the classic magazine at its peak, with the familiar mix of movie and television parodies, satire, Don Martin, Al Jaffee, Dave Berg and the wider MAD stable.

Also included is A Collection of MAD Follies #1 from 1963, an early vintage MAD annual in well-read fair condition; its original fold-out paperback-cover bonus is not present.

The highlight is issue #6, which retains its original MAD Mischief Stickers insert: the pre-glued, perforated sticker sheet supplied with the issue. Surviving original inserts make a substantial difference to collector appeal and are often missing from otherwise respectable copies.

A very attractive early-number group for a MAD collector beginning or improving a Super Specials run. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition of each issue and the completeness of the sticker insert.

Condition is mixed, generally Good for their age. These are original early-1970s magazines, with the oldest issue now over 50 years old, so some handling wear, edge and spine wear, creasing and surface marks are to be expected. Please study the photographs carefully for the individual condition of each issue. Issue #6 retains its original MAD Mischief Stickers insert intact.

The issues will be individually protected, securely packed and sent with tracking.
