Work linked to the European tradition of landscape and marine watercolor of the 20th century. Its execution shows influences of late Impressionism, especially perceptible in the atmospheric capture of the landscape, the use of a cool palette and the fluid brushwork. The simplification of forms and the prominence given to light and reflections on the water bring the composition closer to European painters dedicated to the representation of ports, coasts and nautical scenes during the 20th century.

Watercolor with marine theme that represents a tranquil coastal scene presided by a sailing vessel anchored in the foreground. The sailing boat, with a light hull and ochre-toned details, stands out against the serene waters while several small boats appear distributed in the distance.

The composition is built using a predominantly cool range of blues, grays and whites, softly contrasted by the warm tones of the main vessel. Horizontal brushstrokes and transparent washes allow for the depiction of the reflections of the sailing boat and the luminous variations of the sea surface. In the background, a mountainous coastline is partially blurred by the atmosphere, contributing depth and a sense of calm to the scene.

The work is presented in a wide dark wooden frame with gilded moldings, beige textile mat, and a light inner frame with gold details. The overall character is classical and decorative, enhancing the marine composition.
