The work constitutes a fundamental scientific and regulatory repertory of the era, including the alphabetical nomenclature of medicines, chemical-pharmaceutical formulas, dosages and legal provisions.

Copy with plates in overall good to very good condition, with the usual signs of use and time and some slight damp stains.
Publisher's binding in green cloth all over with titles and gilded ornaments on the spine; boards decorated in blind with frames and the emblem of the Ministère de l'Instruction Publique on the front board. Present a evident damp stain on the front board and (smaller) on the back. Endpapers in blue-tinted paper.
