Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A refined pair of decorative glass sculptures in the shape of persimmons, made of heavy art glass with a vivid orange surface and gold leaf inclusions, each 4.5 cm high by 8 cm wide and 8 cm deep, together weighing 1,080 g, dating to 1990–2000 and originating from Asia, in excellent condition with rare use and light signs of wear due to age.
Description from the seller
In an auction, a refined pair of decorative sculptures shaped like persimmons, made in fine heavy art glass with a vivid glossy orange coloration, beautifully embellished on the surface with elegant inclusions of gold leaf that cast warm reflections under light. The upper part is completed by a stylized stem in dark green solid glass, deftly formed by heating. The objects are presented in excellent condition, like new, free of chips or scratches, with a total weight of 1080 grams that attests to their excellent heft. From a manufacturing standpoint, they are contemporary glass art pieces, unsigned but of an excellent level of execution. Beyond their decorative value and aesthetic refinement, these fruits also hold a fascinating cultural meaning: in Asian tradition, the persimmon is considered a lucky amulet symbolizing prosperity, success in one’s ventures, and the wish that every desire may come true. Perfect as minimalist home decor elements, centerpieces, or exclusive collectible paperweights.
