AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Title: Cosmos No. 9

School: European Abstraction (20th century)

Style: Geometric abstraction / material informalism

Technique: Oil on canvas

Circle and artistic influence:

Work linked to the currents of European abstraction developed during the second half of the 20th century. The composition combines a geometrically intentional constructive organization with resources akin to informalism, especially due to the presence of irregular surfaces, blotches, spontaneous strokes and material variations. Echoes of geometric abstraction and the post-war European language are perceived, where the reticular structure coexists with a deliberately free and imperfect execution.

Abstract composition built through a succession of rectangular and geometric shapes distributed over a surface divided into different chromatic fields. Predominant tones are white, gray, beige and blueish, contrasted by numerous black rectangles that generate a marked visual rhythm.

The structure vaguely recalls an architectural grid or a sequence of windows, although the absence of a defined figurative representation allows for a completely abstract interpretation. The chromatic areas feature transparencies, overlays, stains and visible strokes, while small red and blue accents punctually break the neutrality of the palette.

The contrast between dark forms, the small white rectangles and the broad light-toned surfaces provides depth and dynamism to a composition that appears orderly, but deliberately irregular.

The work shows signs of its age and handling, with surface irregularities and wear mainly in peripheral areas.

Observations:

Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excess dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge in any case.

The courier that must pass through the Swiss border may be delayed much more than normal, so, if we can, to expedite processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so the customer can unlock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties.

The artwork may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority.

Due to the high volume of shipments, it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging.
