Circle and artistic influence:

Work linked to the European currents of the 20th century that reinterpreted the landscape through geometric simplification and the autonomy of color. The composition bears influences of synthetic cubism and post-Cubist derivations, combined with certain Fauvist echoes in the use of greens, yellows, ochers and violets. The treatment of the landscape through large chromatic surfaces and schematic forms also recalls modern investigations that reduced nature to essential structures.

Rural landscape built through broad areas of color that organize the composition on different horizontal planes. In the foreground dominate yellow, ocher and green fields, interrupted by stylized vertical shapes that can be read as trees or cypresses. In the middle zone appear architectural and vegetal masses reduced to elementary volumes in violet, bluish and greenish tones.

In the background, a succession of fields and gentle mountain elevations leads toward a pale grey-white sky. The absence of descriptive detail and the reduction of natural elements to color blocks give the work a strongly synthetic character. Color functions as the main constructive element, moving away from a strictly naturalistic representation to offer a modern and subjective interpretation of the landscape.

The brushstroke is visible and direct, with surfaces deliberately simplified and outlines poorly defined, reinforcing the modern character of the composition.
