Adri Q is a young Afro-Cuban artist born in Cuba who currently resides and works in Alicante, Spain, who lives and works in El Campello, Alicante, whose painting arises from the meeting between illustration, geometry and a deeply contemporary sensibility. Through acrylic on canvas, she has developed a recognizable visual language, characterized by the use of intense colors, flat surfaces, geometric structures and a rich succession of graphic patterns that turn each composition into a dynamic universe and easily identifiable.

Her work moves freely between figuration and abstraction. Sometimes it starts from recognizable scenes — musicians, women, dancers, Mediterranean landscapes, animals or characters belonging to the collective imagination — only to fragment them and reconstruct them through chromatic blocks, visual rhythms and decorative elements. In others, geometry takes on a greater protagonism and the figure seems to emerge from the very structure of color.

This poetic acrylic-on-canvas work is inspired by the illustrated universe of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry to represent The Little Prince lying serenely on his small asteroid, reading a book beside his faithful sleeping fox and his precious rose protected by a crystal dome.
