Mara. J XL - Chrysoprase Thicket

The vegetation occupies the entire surface, dense and intertwined, as seen up close on a morning of peak season. At the top the leaves glow with a pale green almost yellow, where the light hits directly; going down, the tone becomes deeper and more gathered, down to a dark background where lilac and violet impressions emerge, delicate as a second flowering of color. Thin stems rise vertically and hold the composition together, giving breath to the dense weave. The material is built for overlaps and close impressions, leaving the surface alive and slightly grainy. It leaves the impression of a green that continues beyond the edges, silent and luminous.
