Description from the seller

Grand perfume bottle Art Deco – cut crystal and 800 silver – SIAP, Italy

Elegant and imposing Italian Art Deco perfume bottle, dating probably from the 1920s-1930s.

The bottle is made of thick colorless crystal/glass, entirely worked with a remarkable geometric Art Deco pattern: broad cut facets, frosted fan motifs, and deep engraved lines forming a highly graphic composition.

It is topped by a superb faceted stopper matching, adopting the same geometric pattern as the body of the bottle.

The neck setting is in solid silver at 800‰, clearly bearing the hallmarks “800” and “SIAP”. SIAP corresponds to the Società Argenterie Posaterie, an important silverware manufacturer established in Alessandria, Piedmont, Italy, already listed in the official directory of Italian silversmiths and silversmiths in 1924. (Formerly Barbaris - Pietrasanta).

Very good overall condition, a micro chip on the tip of the stopper barely perceptible, as well as a microscopic one on the bottle almost invisible (see last photo).
