Old Cigarette Box / Art Deco Vanity Case – Czechoslovakia c. 1930.
Unusual rectangular table-top or pocket box (cigarette case/vanity case) from the Art Deco period.
Frame and interior entirely executed in polished brass.
The lid features a refined tripartite geometric composition, with two side panels in textured bakelite/celluloid inlaid with a faux tortoiseshell effect.
The central brass panel displays a stylized linear geometric engraving, evoking the avant-garde architectural designs of the era.
Prominent functional snap closure on the front.
Marked with the incised origin inscription "CZECHOSLOVAKIA" on the outer flap.
Good vintage overall condition, showing natural patina of age, slight surface wear due to age, and small oxidation spots typical on brass."
