“Aufbruch” stands for change, movement, and the courage to begin something new. The powerful orange-red concentration of color forms the emotional center of the work and seems to spread from the darker, earthy areas into the open, bright pictorial space. Fine lines, traces, overlays, and transparent color layers create a vivid, multi-layered surface. Gray, charcoal, orange, red, and yellow tones are in a tense alternation between calm and dynamism.
My work was created in several layers with acrylic paints and various painting techniques. Deliberately visible traces of the working process give the surface its individual, expressive character.
The surrounding black edge is intentionally free and irregular in execution and is part of the composition. The black color has been applied generously up to the later edge area, so that after mounting the work has a continuous, narrow black finish along the edge.
