Fine set of two framed Japanese pages with ink illustrations and waka poetry in calligraphy (hiragana). The images depict four legendary poets from the traditional anthologies (such as the Thirty-Six Immortals of Poetry or Hyakunin Isshu):
1: Ki no Tomonori (紀友則) and Fujiwara no Okokaze (藤原興風).
2: Chūnagon Kanesuke (中納言兼輔) and Minamoto no Muneyuki Ason (源宗于朝臣).
